1. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Perkinia collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use its accounts, profiles, posts, clips, moments, memberships, purchases, downloads, messages and creator tools.

By creating an account or using Perkinia, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information may include your email address, display name, username, profile and cover pictures, biography, account type, follows and preferences.

Content and communications include posts, clips, moments, captions, comments, likes, saves, files, downloads, direct messages and group messages, plus related details such as dates, recipients and file types.

Creator and transaction information may include membership offers, prices, purchase records, payout status and encrypted bank or payout details. Perkinia does not store your full payment-card number; payment providers process card and payment details under their own policies.

Activity and technical information may include content viewed, viewing time, searches, likes, saves, comments, follows, device and browser information, network data, approximate location derived from an IP address, logs and error reports.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, display profiles and content, deliver messages and notifications, provide purchases and memberships, process creator payouts, control access to private or paid content and provide support.

We use activity signals such as views, viewing time, likes, saves, comments, follows, content types and hashtags to rank and personalize recommendations, including the For You experience.

We may also use information to prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms and Conditions, investigate reports, protect users and the platform, comply with legal obligations, improve reliability and develop features.

4. Visibility and your choices

Public and Creator profiles and their permitted content may be visible to other users. Private accounts control follow approvals, but approved followers can view content shared with them. Paid content is available only to entitled users, subject to the platform's access controls.

You can update profile information and account type in Settings, manage follows and memberships, and choose whether eligible content may be downloaded. Information already shared or downloaded by another person may remain outside Perkinia's control.

5. How information is shared

We share information with other users when needed for profiles, posts, follows, comments, memberships, purchases, direct messages and group chats. Group administrators and members can see group membership and activity relevant to that group.

We may share information with service providers that support hosting, storage, authentication, security, analytics, payments and payouts. These may include Lovable Cloud, Cloudflare R2, Stripe Connect and Razorpay Route, depending on which services are active and available.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, enforce agreements, investigate fraud or security incidents, protect rights and safety, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition or transfer of the service with appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

6. Payments and creator payouts

Payment and payout providers independently process information needed to complete payments, verify creators, prevent fraud and transfer earnings. Their terms and privacy policies also apply.

Creator bank details are restricted to payout-related use and stored with protective measures, including encryption where supported. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, and Perkinia is not responsible for a payment provider's independent acts, outages or security practices.

7. Storage, security and retention

We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. However, no system, account, file or internet transmission is completely secure, and you use the platform at your own risk.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the platform, protect users, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and meet legal, tax, accounting and security obligations. Backups and records required for these purposes may remain for a limited period after deletion.

8. Files, APKs and user content

Perkinia hosts content supplied by users and does not guarantee that every post, document, archive, APK, external link or other file is accurate, lawful, compatible, safe or free from malware. Creators are responsible for what they upload, and users are responsible for checking files before opening or installing them.

To the extent permitted by law, Perkinia is not liable for user content, unauthorized redistribution, malware, device damage, data loss, payment-provider conduct or harm arising from downloaded files or interactions between users. Report suspected harmful or unlawful content promptly.

9. International processing

Information may be processed or stored in countries other than your own by Perkinia and its providers. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. We use available contractual, technical and legal safeguards appropriate to the service and location.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection concerning personal information. You may also have the right to complain to a local data-protection authority.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Some information may be retained where permitted or required for security, fraud prevention, transactions, legal claims and compliance.

11. Children's privacy

Perkinia is only for people aged 18 or older. We collect your date of birth at sign-up to confirm this, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can review and take appropriate action.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Perkinia, its providers or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated where required, and continued use after an update takes effect means the updated policy applies.
